Ian Dowman has spent most of his career working at UCL, initially working with aerial and close range photography, but moving towards an interest now in the application of satellite data to mapping. His current research involves automatic feature extraction and the geometric fusion of different types of data.
Ian Dowman has been involved in ISPRS for many years as a working group chair and commission president and is now Secretary General of ISPRS. He has also been chair of the sub group on Terrain Mapping of the CEOS Working Group on Calibration and Validation. |
